Sarah A. Hoyt was born in Portugal, which she assumes was due to a massive party at stork headquarters which left them all disoriented. When she was three she wanted to grow up to be a cat, which turned out to be impossible. She has almost recovered from the disappointment. She married an American and moved to the US at 22 – mostly because commuting would have been really hard – and found her home. And of course, having English as a third language, she immediately decided what she wanted to do was write fiction for a living. After only thirteen years of trying, she sold her first novel – Ill Met by Moonlight – and in the twenty six years since, she’s written and published mumble mumble – don’t make her count! – novels, probably over 150 short stories and a few articles. Her work spans science fiction, fantasy, mystery, historical mystery and historical and— Look, she’s never written men’s adventure or children’s picture books, but everything else she’s either written or has plans to write. So, poke around and see if you find something you’d like to read.
